Why are you interested in running for this Board seat?

I am passionate about our travel flag football community and over the last three seasons have been committed to doing what ever it takes to make sure we are successful on and off the field.

What makes you a good fit for this Board seat?

Whether it has been assisting with video, photography, operations, helping members of the community succeed and letting them know they have a place with Summit I have been committed to assisting in whatever I can to help Summit be a best in class organization. I have already volunteered hours of my time in the pursuit of making sure our community is first in everything we do. Needless to say, I love and am passionate about this community and have been for almost 15 years. This aligned with my Director experience from an HR level for 23 years along with my prior job on the board as Director of IT gives me the required experience to excel at this job. Whether in budgeting, planning, management or relationships with vendors, these are strong suits for me in my professional career.

What is your vision for this role? What things would you want to accomplish during your term?

Kevin has done a spectacular job in this role! My goal is to keep us at the same championship level that has come to be expected from this role. I am passionate about incorporating the feedback of our community as a whole & then working with leaders to implement a plan that reflects the needs of our community. This should be the goal with in any leadership position to be a good steward of the community and to keep improving in how we serve the community and those around us.

Brandon Bolden

In growing with both the DGLFFL and Summit, I've gained a deeper understanding, connection, and passion for continuing and growing the legacy Denver has to offer. Whether at Sunday games in league seasons or at tournaments abroad, I often am chatting with people about the ways I've grown as a player and a person within the community. I enjoy collaborating with others in both finding ways to optimize strengths and relationships and navigating obstacles and individual/group challenges. Whether in an active or supportive role, I don't mind bringing the energy, as I believe every little bit can make the difference between strong cohesion and collapse.

In this past year, assisting Drew, our Director of Competition, helped me learn the many cogs that help the Summit organization continue to be strong. This season, the work we collectively put together allowed us to have an amazing tournament, bringing home 3 of 4 divisional trophies. I believe in taking on the torch as Director of Community that I can support continuing to build a legacy where we can repeat this result and perhaps improve it.

Why are you interested in running for this Board seat?

My experience in mental health and managing organizations throughout my tenure and the energy I bring as a leader, teammate, and individual allows me to connect with individuals from all walks of life and find connecting threads in building and supporting community vision. I love emboldening others to be their best self and am comfortable helping change the temperature of the room to effect change. At times, I am a walking commercial/billboard for Summit, as I often encourage new and experienced players to join us and find deeper benefits this incredible league has to offer at the competitive level.

I also have experience in managing multimedia and social media in ways that both improve engagement and aid in our mission. I enjoy engaging others in our mission and can connect with anyone, which is beneficial for managing and leading events, improving opportunities for involvement and impact in community, and recruiting both within our organization and abroad. My experience in co-hosting and performing in Ballerz Ball is what I would consider film of my ability to manage things at multiple levels while being effective, which is essential for the Director of Community.

What makes you a good fit for this Board seat?

I hope to bring simple yet impactful ways to improve in our efforts to recruit new members from both the DGLFFL and NGFFL, increase our notoriety and collaboration within our communities we serve, and build our competitive and family atmosphere at all levels of our organization. This will involve strengthening our relationship to our current club sponsor and potentially building other sponsor relationships when possible. It will also include ensuring clear processes and communication with captains, team leaders, and members at large to maximize participation and sharing of resources in community service, organizational events, and competition success. I want to build upon and create ways for participation in our organization to be accessible and enjoyable.

I also plan to build on my experience in supporting the Director of competition by assisting in building practice structures and schedules that support the needs of our players and teams. I hope to support our collective vision of iron sharpening iron in ensuring our leaders and members feel supported and have access to what they need to thrive in our organization. I hope to assist us all in being prepared to endure and thrive as an organization despite current events, political climates, etc.
